The various drawings of the J.C. Nichols Fountain at the east entrance to the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City, Missouri are finely executed in pencil by Rollin ‘Rick’ Richter and beautifully reproduced as prints, using premium archival, textured watercolor paper and archival ink. Each of the drawings is titled as to which sculpture group it is within in the J. C. Nichols Fountain.
Rick Richter graduated from the University of Kansas in 1962 earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with an emphasis in Commercial Art. While he thrived on the challenges and rewards of his advertising career, his real passion always remained drawing. He was particularly impressed with the beauty of the fountains and statuary found on the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City, Missouri and these were perpetually the subjects of many of his drawings which were executed principally in pencil. Included with each print will be a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
