This is a depiction of a bright Sunday on the historic Kansas City Country Club Plaza. James Russell (J.R.) Hamil graduated from the University of Kansas in 1958 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree. In 1973 he began his career as a freelance artist and has been devoted to painting for commissions, shows and exhibitions, publications, and other artwork related activities. In addition to painting, Jim conducts workshops and demonstrations, creates artwork for a variety of publications, and is involved in many charities.
